The rest of the photos from the last week! :) Figured I'd post them before my roommate and I go pick up her new kitten! Plenty of spam to come from that, I'm sure! The kitten of doom! This is the one who had an intimate relationship with my finger. ;) She settled down very quickly and is adorable now! So much so she actually got adopted yesterday! ( More fabulous kitties below! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!
I'm back in the world of betta-owning again. I'd had Galileo for a couple years, and when he died, I got a cat.
Having been feeling that "urge" again, I went and bought a betta last night. So now I have Sushi.
The cat is so far ignoring Sushi, and I'm hoping it stays that way. But, I am prepared to move him into an area that is not cat accessible if she shows the least sort of interest in "the thing moving on the coffee table".

Oke. I'm looking for a cheap way to play games. I'm mostly a PC gamer but do have a PS2 and PSP with a few games for each of those. However, almost my entire collection consists of PC games. The thing is, though, is that I tend to spend a big percentage of the meagre amount I get from state benefits (I'm Bipolar and currently unable to work, but I am going to college and studying for qualifications that I hope will get me into work in the near future) on gaming, because, quote frankly, I love it. But I tend to play 3-4 games at a time, because if I get stuck or bored on one I can go onto the next one and then come back to the one I left at a later time. And even though I buy about 95% of my games second hand, it's still costing me quite a bit on the money I get. I spend about £50 ($83) on games per month. And yes, this is accurate, cos I worked the average out using a spreadsheet on my computer. I'd like to spend less than this and thought that Metaboli might be a way of doing this. I'm looking to sign up for the Essential Collection, as the Ultimate Collection just doesn't really do it for me, even though it's supposed to be better, the games you 'borrow' on the server aren't actually much different from the Essential Collection. I also like puzzle games like Bookworm Adventures, but Metaboli doesn't seem to have a great range of puzzle games in their Casual Gamer package.
Right, okay. The thing I wanna ask is: has anyone here had any experience with Metaboli, and is it any good?

A few days ago I was challenged to a pokemon battle. Being caught off guard and a non-competitive battler, my lv. 72-83 pokemon were beaten. I posted here and everyone pretty much said the same thing - Smogen. Still, knowing nothing about movesets and strategy, I've pretty much just picked my faves that weren't on my other team and threw them together, hoping for the best. Here's what I got, suggestions are wanted more than a legit shiny mew. :P ( Pokemanz )

Two twitter templates/layouts. I'm a beginner at them so pardon me. :) ( Under the cut )

So I posted a recruitment thread yesterday for an RP guild I'm in and a couple times now I've mentioned in the replies a post I made about how to get more involved in role-play. While the post is geared specifically toward my guild the hints still mostly apply to other RP guilds and servers, so... I figured, make a new thread and ask others: What are YOUR tips for getting more involved in RP? ( How to Get More Involved in RP - Brightmoon Faire Style )Edit: yaaa I figured out the tags!

Hello ladies!
I always wanted to play WoW but never had a computer capable of handling it (yeah, old school o_O) - but now I do!
I started off with a Blood Elf Warlock... which is at a level 26 right now. I have my succubus. My problem is I feel like it's taking me FOREVER to level. The quests I find are either super easy and offer a crappy amount of XP and the other ones are WAY too hard. For level 30 and such. My server is really...lonely...? I feel like I can NEVER find anyone to quest with (Garrosh).
So my question is, should I just give this girl a rest and start an alt like someone suggested? Something easier? Or is there a place I'm supposed to be questing that I just don't know yet. I don't really want to create an alt at the moment since I just got done doing all those silly, low level quests. ... And really, I wanna get to a level 80 :D
So, any help would be appreciated. If you know a good guild that's helpful with those like me I would also love to be directed. I haven't really done any battles or anything like that. I've basically been questing aimlessly. Haven't really done much with my professions either, since I need a little guidance.
Thank you so much! | |

I know this isn't the typical sort of post here, but I need some help if possible. A few days ago, I found a kitten running around outside. I called to him and he came to me, so I brought him in. He was cold and hungry, and scarfed down food like he'd not eaten for a day. I have two cats of my own, and know it would be irresponsible to take in a third cat. I don't have the money for a third cat, the vet bills, food, and litter, and I don't have the time to train him. I've contacted the rescue I got one of my cats from to see if they have room, but assuming they don't, I'm looking for other options. He's a black and white cat about 3-4 months old. Litter trained. A little mouthy and needs to learn not to use his claws while playing. He's people oriented and enjoys being petted and sitting close to someone. I've been calling him Little Foot, but I'm sure there's a better name that would suit him. I'm in Fort Worth, Texas. If anyone is interested, please send me a message through livejournal. ( picture behind cut )Sorry for the off-topicness!

Replaying through Red has made me realise that, despite the power of nostalgia, I really like the newer games better. Better graphics, better music, but most of all, no weird mechanics regarding the accuracy of Pokeballs.
Because in the original Red and Blue (not sure about Yellow), you can throw a Pokeball and MISS, usually in the Safari Zone or against a legendary. This is Supremely Annoying, because there is no indication of what makes you miss the Pokemon. In the Safari Zone, it's usually when you use bait (which is why, to this day, I do not use bait very readily). Earlier today, I was trying to catch Articuno, and kept missing for no readily obvious reason. Seriously, isn't Articuno really big? How do I miss a giant blue bird? I don't think the player character is that pants-on-head retarded, despite only ever saying Yes and No. What the hell.
Then I pressed A and Up while throwing, and not only hit the thing, but caught it (incidentally, it was at low HP and paralyzed). I'm beginning to see where all those rumours came from.
