I honestly didn't think I'd be writing another letter to you. I wrote one on my LJ years ago, when you and I were still compadres, but that was that. I was mostly wrapped up with my dog, Simon -'cause, y'know, he was my responsibility- but you were always glad for my lap, and your "brother" Dipstick was always glad for the chance to smurgle the blanket on my computer chair. And I was glad for your company.

Then my twin reclaimed you two, and after seven years of being your snuggle/nap-buddy, I was out of the picture. I missed you both, but I had Simon still, so I wasn't as lonely as I could have been. Then I had to give Simon back to the Earth, and I broke. Part of me vanished. A heathen without her familiar spirit, going into fuzzy withdrawal after a decade of the world's best and finest Doxie.

Recently my twin and her husband moved in, bringing you and Dipstick, and your two new "sisters", Sasha and Madeline. Dipstick had to be given back to the Earth as well. You two weren't exactly close, but he was still your companion, so I know you noticed he was suddenly gone.

That was when Mom asked me to adopt you, and the wound left by Simon's passing started to.... I can't really call it healing, but it was something.

I know it's been a good while since I last posted,but real life's just been....INSANE,so...yeah.I've ninja clickied back a couple pages worth to make up for some of the lost time. Just got four of th'new eggs to post...just need one of them to hatch so I can get one of the translucent eggs and I'll have all of the new ones which'll be nice cause I'm having an impossible time breeding either a blue striped dragon,or a sunset one. Will be ninja clicking again as usual when I get back from my doctor's appointment later.

If given the choice, do you buy 'kid' versions of items, or just the regular version? Why or why not?

So, I'm interested in getting the Neopets toolbar. As far as I understand, you need either IE or Firefox, yes? Other browsers like Safari won't work.

But as for the other system requirements, I've read Windows XP/98/2000 etc., but I actually run Mac. I know with some other toolbars/programs, they tend to work on Mac, even if it isn't listed as an operating system, or they create an alternative program, just for the Mac-lovers of the world.

Is this the case with the toolbar? Or can it only be installed on a Windows-based computer? Please and thank you, guys! :D

makes me think of deciding not to take buster to the "people's republic" of santa monica, ca park last year. the discriminate by not allowing any dogs other than locals, registered in the park w/o a license. fines and fees are common w/ police hanging out routinely checking just for the fundraising purpose.

Totally hypothetical but,

What would you do if you found out your babysitter was disciplining your child in ways you didn't approve of?

For example, if you found out they had spanked your child would you just fire them or would you press charges (Can you press charges for that?)

For parents that do spank, are you comfortable with other people spanking your children or do you feel that you are the only one that should make that particular choice?

New member here, hoping to find some help, I searched through the tags and memories but couldn't find what I was looking for so I though I would post, if this isn't the place to ask my particular question let me know and I will be happy to continue looking elsewhere:)

Anyways, on to the question. I have recently started playing The Sims 2 The Pets on the Gameboy Advance, Ive never really been much of a gamer girl, but I have been enjoying this game alot, my problem is that I am totally lost as to how to make money and the various FAQ's and walkthroughs I have found aren't helping me much.

I was employed as a dog walker but I can't figure out the controls, and my dogs and cats always get away. Im horrible at mini games like this and it isn't as fun as the rest of the gaming experience, I was wondering if there is a code or some kind of cheat that will get me money without having to play the little mini game with the animal walking?

If there isn't is there another way to earn money? Can i sell the stuff I pick up on the street or something? Im down to 300$ and I don't think I can keep the game going much longer on that...

I basically typed this as soon as I came home from the theatre from watching it for the first time. I am planning on going to see it again tomorrow evening. As always, I felt like there were so many things both small and large crammed into the latest HP film that I sort of left in a daze attempting to process everything...but a happyish daze nonetheless.

Hey y'all! I got the cutest planner a few weeks ago, but it has unfortunately made friends with a ball point pen, in the form of a 2" mark alongside the front. I have no idea what the outer material is made of--I'd almost call it vinyl-ish? Any suggestions on a gentle way to remove this mark?


Also, how would I go about vacuuming around my baseboards? I just don't feel like I'm getting all the dust up, and it's driving me mental!

So I've been around Neopets for quite a while now but I seem to have missed the onset of all the pet trade and transfer lingo.

What's the deal with people offering "custom" or "ffq" pets for others? Like for example, there are people on the boards seeking "500-600k" customs in exchange for one of their pets... How is this achieved?

One of my Sims is in the Criminal career track, and since she got promoted to Evil Sidekick, her relationship with her boss is a factor in her job performance. I looked and it said that it was "bad", which i found odd as they were best friends. So i looked at their relationship panel to make sure she hadn't pissed her off with her Meanness or something, but she just... wasn't there at all. I clicked the Coworkers tab and all it showed was her two coworkers, not her boss.

So now her Boss factor is stuck at "bad" permanently, and it's really annoying. Do you think maybe the boss got arrested and disappeared when she got taken to jail? I have heard of some Sims disappearing when arrested, but mostly teens out past curfew. I don't think she died, either... the game would've let me know, right?

Oh, and i thought maybe she might have a new boss for some reason... but when she's at work there are no options to interact with a boss at all.
Any ideas? It's not the most horrible thing in the world, but it is annoying.

ETA: The boss does exist! But she has become an Elder--i suppose she retired. Stupid story progression.

ETA more: One of her co-workers was promoted to Boss. Even though he is way below her. Peon.
